The Beyond The Screen app. It's a second screen experience that uses audio recognition technology to trigger ‘movie moments’, complementary content that’s relevant to the action on screen, straight to the iPad.
These ‘movie moments’ include commentaries, interviews and extras, hundreds of illustrations and animations bringing to life trivia, statistics, quiz questions and references to provide a highly immersive experience.
I was responsible for the branding, app and interface design, iconography, over 100 illustrations for the 'movie moments' and a handful of animations. I was involved in virtually all areas of the project from start to finish.
It was one of my biggest projects i've ever been part of and our relatively small but super talented team all did an amazing job of bringing it all together.
The app won an FWA Mobile of the Day award and a commendation at the Drum Design Awards.

I was also responsible for creating a limited edition poster which would hang up in the NBC/Universal offices as a memento of the project. It is based on the shaun of the dead poster, but with a digital twist. I also created two alternatives featuring a whole host of the illustrations aswell as all the weapons we designed.
